How is the ERGOtug Cart Mover operated? Both the ERGOtug Lynx and ERGOtug PT are turned on with a key switch located on the handset. The control panel on the Lynx contains a battery status meter which is illuminated while the machine is on. To go forward, press the bottom of the red speed control with your thumb. The more the control is depressed the faster the ERGOtug Cart Mover will go. The operator should stand off to the side facing the direction he or she wants to go. If an emergency stop is required, depress the red safety stop. To go in reverse, press the top of the red speed control with your thumb. The more the control is depressed the faster the ERGOtug Cart Mover will go. The operator should face the ERGOtug Cart Mover when going in reverse. Is there any setup required prior to use? Two adjustments are required on the ERGOtug Cart Movers before use: 1. The height of the lift needs to be set so that it passes 1/4" below the edge of the cart when it is in the down position. It is mounted with two 5/16-18 flathead screws. The lift can be adjusted in 1/4" increments by selecting different holes. Only two screws are required to mount the lift. 2. The steering rail needs to be lengthened so that its rear wheel is slightly ahead of the rear wheels of the cart being pulled. This is accomplished by loosening the two 1/2 " screws along the rail's bottom, and then sliding the rail back. After adjustment, tighten the screws. If the cart has rear swivel casters, the rail may have to be shortened to prevent interference. How are carts attached to an ERGOtug Cart Mover? A cart is attached by positioning it over the lift pad on the cart pulling attachment. The lift is then actuated by pressing the lift button located on the handle. When the lift is actuated the front wheels of the cart being pulled should be off the ground by roughly a quarter to half an inch. The cart then can be moved as required. To release the cart, the lower button is pressed and the cart is lowered to the ground. How are the batteries charged? The batteries are charged by plugging the ERGOtug Cart Mover into a 110v outlet. A plug is located on the front of the ERGOtug Cart Mover. Open the dust cover and plug the ERGOtug Cart Mover into a 110v outlet using a three pronged extension cord. Charging is automatic and will stop when the batteries are fully charged. The ERGOtug Cart Mover has a battery life of approximately 4 hours of run time. Ideally the batteries should be recharged when 50% depleted. Depending on use, the ERGOtug Cart Mover may not require charging every day. There is no battery "memory" problem with the batteries supplied. What are the ERGOtug Cart Movers' load limits? The ERGOtug PT is capable of moving carts up to 2,500 lbs. The ERGOtug Lynx is capable of moving carts up to 1,200 lbs. How do I purchase an ERGOtug Cart Mover?
